Weekend without Ryan

Ryan left this past Thursday to run the Blue Ridge Relay with his running buddies (see "Coach K" blog). So Lauren and I went to spend the night at Aunt Jenny's house. It has really helped me in that I don't have to worry about driving Lauren to Aunt Jenny's house in the morning and having enough time to get to work, and also, I don't enjoy staying by myself so I have been a lot less stressed about being by myself with a baby. We have sent pictures via the cellphone and many text messages to Ryan to encourage him during his big race. We heard from him earlier this afternoon and he sounded really tired. He finished the 46 miles but said he probably wouldn't walk for a week. Ryan will return tomorrow by noon. Lauren is very excited that he is coming home. Aunt Jenny and I have both noticed that she misses him. She brought Lauren to the store on Thursday and when they entered Lauren was looking around, like she was looking for something or someone (probably her daddy!). I brought Lauren home this morning to check the mail and make sure the house was still there, and when we walked in, she again was looking around like she was looking for someone or something. It is so cute!
