Well, today is the day Lauren is suppose to arrive.... but..... she seems to be a little too comfortable where she is at the present time and is not motivated to join us. I went to the doctor yesterday to see if I was progressing towards having her today or tomorrow or even soon. The doctor determined I have not progressed at all. So I was very disappointed. But on the bright side, the doctor did start the paperwork for induction for either Monday, May 5th or Tuesday, May 6th. So by this time next week, Lauren will be with us. My thoughts are, though I am very anxious and excited for her to get here, I do think, that in the whole big scheme of things, what is a few more days to wait.
The plan for next week is, I will go to the doctor's office at 10:00 am on Monday and we will discuss the time of induction and the induction procedure. (This is all contingent on her not arriving before then). Then I will go to the hospital at the scheduled time for labor and delivery. I have been continuing to go to work everyday, but this Friday will be my last day at work for the short term. If they wait and induce me on Tuesday, I will work from home on Monday after the doctor's appointment. Ryan's parents are here. They have been here since last Friday, helping Ryan with the store, spending time at Jenny's house with Bryce and Tyler, and visiting with Peter, Marnee, and Reed. I think their plans are to stay through the weekend until Lauren arrives. (Bryce's christening is this weekend too). My parents are driving up this Friday and while my Mom will stay with us for the next 2 weeks, my Dad will have to fly down to Tampa for work, but just for a couple of days. We are going to have a busy weekend and next couple of weeks, but I am excited that most of the family is in town. (Lauren's favorite Aunt Carlie has flag corp tryouts at Alabama this weekend and won't be able to join us - Good Luck Carlie!)
