1 Year Checkup

Lauren went to the doctor on Tuesday, May 12th, for her 1 year wellness checkup. We got to see Dr. Evans (our favorite Dr.). Here are Lauren's stats:

• Weight: 18lbs 1.5 oz (7%)
• Height: 30.1 inches (87%)
• 1 Year Milestones: crawling .... check, self feeding with fingers .... check, walking with assistance .... check, babbling..... check, limited vocabulary (night-night, mamamamama, woof-woof, mmmmmmmoo, ball, bah bah (baby), ball ball (balloon), what's that, what's this, uh-oh, ouww (ouch))..... check

The doctor was very pleased with Lauren's progression. Our next goal is to start table foods and whole milk. I think the textures will be the biggest hurdle. It usually takes Lauren 1 to 2 weeks to get used to a new food. By 15 months, the doctor said that Lauren should be walking without assistance and not taking a bottle. Knowing Lauren, she will do things at her own pace.
